Available for free on all Apple devices, the app allows travellers to explore Tasmania’s rich natural diversity, research and enquire about tours and places to stay, discover how to have an intimate encounter with weird and wonderful wildlife, and even listen to the call of the most iconic resident, the Tasmanian Devil.

The perfect companion for travellers, walkers and nature enthusiasts alike, the app uses maps to plot the route of some of Tasmania’s most famous multi-day walks, including the Overland Track, the Maria Island and Bay of Fires, walks, and the South Coast Track. One of these, the Tarkine Rainforest walk actually takes visitors through the last major tract of temperate rainforest on the planet and is the last refuge for the Tasmanian devil.

The App provides information on the Franklin River story itself, along with information on its whitewater rafting –at ten days, the longest in the world – and the state’s newest adventure tour, Cradle Mountain Canyons, both of which are in the heart of the World Heritage Wilderness.
